It's taking me longer than I thought to get my stash organized and for sale stuff posted here. I have some of it up on Ravelry (user name sequinK) if anyone is interested in taking a gander over there, and hope to get it posted here in the next couple of days (fingers crossed).
We're having an unexpected bit of rain here on the Central Coast, so the husband, daughter and I have been staying close to home and hunkering down a bit. Yesterday I dusted the Crockpot off, put some split pea and ham soup on, and baked up a pan of cornbread. Today was meatloaf, baked potatoes and a citrus beet salad made from beets scavenged this morning from a very wet and rainy farmers' market. I heart our farmers' markets. We have markets on Saturdays, Sunday and Wednesdays that are all within a few minutes of our house, so buying produce at the grocery store is a rarity during the summer. Yes, we are spoiled!
Yesterday Miss H had her very first tea party playdate. She had a fabulous time, and it got me thinking that I should probably dig up a tea set for her so we can have afternoon teas of our own! She's a little too young for the cute porcelain sets, but I think this tin tea set (lead free paint, per the manufacturer) with its own suitcase will fit the bill nicely:
How cute!!
And I also ordered the little miss some toddler crayons from the Crayola site this evening. We have some of the washable fatty crayons, but she can't yet push down hard enough to lay down a nice bright line. I think these Tadoodles will help her get some leverage and have a bit more fun with coloring and drawing.
The crayons twist up and down to minimize eating breakage. Also ridiculously cute.
And my husband brought Miss H a present home today. At least he claims it is for her, but I'm thinking they might be sharing, if you know what I mean.
This weekend, our livingroom, next weekend the skate park?? My husband wishes!!!
Love the skateboard. She looks like a natural already. :)
