With all the upheaval around here (sickness, holidays, birthdays, house expansion/remodel, temporary move to a tiny house, work) I'm a little distracted from knitting. Actually, I don't even know where my knitting is, to tell you the truth,... blasphemy!!
I did, however, finish up this little cross stitch sampler from angry chicken's mailorder club:
It needs a little blocking (and the pic is a bit blurry -- sorry!), but overall, cute, no? This was a perfectly portable project for the diaper bag -- folds flat, only two colors of thread to deal with, small, simple, easy to pick up and put down. I wouldn't say I'm totally hooked on cross stitch, but I did find my next project -- a little Quaker schoolgirl needlecase (at the bottom of the page). I was thinking of trying a larger project, but decided keeping it smaller and manageable is probably the way to go at this point. And a girl needs a cute needle thing to put her needle things in, no?
So we're off the finger babble (baby sign language) playgroup now. Hana LOVES the instructor and we're having a great time introducing signs to her. She currently signs "eat" and "milk" the most. She has also signed "dog" and "Daddy," but less consistently.
Great weekend to everyone!
Finger Babble - what a cute name and a great idea. Maybe I can find something like that around here to take Kyle to...although I think I have some time before he would be old enough.
Your cross stitch sampler is adorable!

Nice sampler! I love that someone named Angry Chicken is offering this completely traditional sampler for sale. It was swell to see you at Meetup last week - hope you can make it again soon, despite the chaos!
