About a year ago, I made the We Call Them Pirates hat for my guy. You can find the post here. I've been meaning to knit a wee one for Miss Hanalee so that she and her poppy can be all cute and matchy, but my brain just couldn't settle down enough to do any knitting, let alone CHARTED knitting. But earlier this month my mental space freed up a bit (thank god!),...
Aren't my peeps cute?
I used DB Baby Cashmerino for this project. The only alteration I made to the pattern was to do three pattern repeats around rather than four, and two rows of skulls instead of three. Other than that, I followed the pattern faithfully and it fits great. I used twelve inch Addi Turbo size three needles for the first time on this project and they worked great. I was afraid they'd be too short and fiddly, but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy they were to work with.
Yay! Now to figure out what to knit next! We're in the process of moving to a rental for a few months while out house is remodeled, so I hope that won't throw my new found knitting process off too much. I also want to do a little cross stitch, if you can believe it. I received my mailorder #5 from Angry Chicken last week and there is a mighty cute cross stitch sampler that I might just have to make!
OMG! That is so amazingly cute. You have to send a pic or that link to Adrian. She was really excited to see the one I knit when I met her at Rhinebeck. I bet she'd be tickled to death to see a weeee one! Nice job :)
