I had unexpected, but very very welcome, houseguests this weekend! This little peanut, who is only eight weeks old, winged her way from oh-so-way-too-freezing-cold Minnesota to kick it in the Santa Cruz sunshine:
She is cute in her pictures, but ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE in real life.
And, in addition to her total cuteness, she's one of THOSE babies. You
know, one of those too good to be true really good babies that makes you think that having babies of your own wouldn't be a terrible thing.
I haven't had much time to knit in the past few days, but I'll be gearing up very soon. I joined the Must Have Too knitalong, which begins today, but dammit if I have any time to dig the yarn out of storage (yes, I'm using stash yarn!!) and swatch. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a chance to do a little stash diving before the knitting meetup in Saratoga and find the goods. I'm either going to use some Araucania Nature Wool in a charcoal color, or Patons Classic Merino in Natural Mix -- decisions decisions!
Out of my three children, I had ONE of *those* kinds of babies. Of course, he didn't arrive until I had two of the *other* kind of babies. The more high-maintenance ones. Actually I shouldn't say that, I really only had one high-maintenance baby, but she was a twin so that translated into both of them being difficult. LOL Your little peanut-visitor is darling!
