Still here, still no knitting, but enjoying every day with Miss Hana. She is lovely and
sweet and SO ADVANCED (I am not biased at all, you know). She now is
three and a half months, and has just begun to grab objects with both
hands and beeline them to the general vicinity of her mouth.
I have been thinking a bit about knitting, and sewing, and cooking, as well as about balance and the importance of taking more time for myself during the day. The laundry and dishes can wait, but can my daughter? Hana is pretty good about entertaining herself while just lying on the floor or on her activity mat, and I just need to get over the feeling that I'm somehow neglecting her if I'm not interacting with her over the entire duration of her playtime. One of my mom friends jokingly called the mat the "Neglect-o-mat" and the swing the "Neglect-o-matic" and those terms, and what they infer, have really stuck with me in not the most positive of ways.
I will get these feeling sorted, and I'm confident my crafty self will be coming back around soon. When I get a free moment this weekend, I'm going to try and go through my stash, MAYBE even do a little destashification! Housecleaning and general maintenance is always a good thing. Happy weekend to all!
