Our vacation of sloth and relaxation is coming to a close, and we're heading back down the coast to our little crap shack tomorrow morning. I've got the new xmas iPod (!!!) juiced up and loaded with the first Lemony Snicket and the new David Sedaris audiobooks for the long drive. Christmas with the family was wonderful, per usual, but now it's time to get back to reality, work, and WEDDING PLANNING. We've finally set the date -- June 18th -- and have nailed down the venue for the ceremony/reception, reserved a couple of B&Bs for guests, and now just have, oh, like a BAZILLION other details to address. But it's all good and very exciting.
In knitting news, I had a Clap attack and just can't seem to shake it -- what a great mindless knitting project! And in Silk Garden in the luscious red colourway -- woowoo. I'd throw down a pic but the camera is MIA at the moment.
And here's the most useful site I've found so far for Tsunami relief donations -- Network for Good. The site lists the different organizations, what they're doing right now for tsunami relief, and provides background info -- including financials -- on each of the organizations. It's also a great resource for volunteer information, including online volunteering opportunities.
Happy new year to everyone!
